These vintage Murano glass lamps by Carlo Nason for Mazzega are made from four glass plates that interlocks on top of a polished steel back plate. The effect of the opaque glass is striking as it cushions the space with soft light.
Carlo Nason is an Italian designer born in 1935. Surrounded by Murano glass from a young age, he began to admire the art of glassmaking and took interest in the material. Proceeding from one of the oldest families of glassmakers, Nason explored various styles of work and is best known for his original and timeless curves seen throughout lamps, vases and sculptures. After working at outstanding companies, he chose Mazzega to develop his collection in the 1970s and 1980s.
