Iris Hantverk Mushroom Brush
Description
A handy brush in oiled birch, designed to help clean fresh mushrooms of any remaining soil or dirt. As mushrooms tend to lose flavour when rinsed with water, it is an effective alternative to prepare them for cooking and maintain their delicious taste. The brush comes in a round, convenient shape. It can be also useful for making bread.
In the late 19th century a small brush and basket workshop opened in Stockholm, employing visually impaired craftsmen. It was such a successful movement that it remains today. Now, as then, every brush is made by hand by visually impaired craftsmen from Sweden and Estonia according to an old Swedish tradition, bringing a new dimension to the concept of sensitively made by hand.
